Jan Jozef Horemans the Younger was an important Antwerp Rococo painterof elegant social gatherings. He painted, just as his father, mostly interiorscenes. He did not produce that many exterior scenes: their charming beauty andtheir rarity explains why they are very sought after.
I know of only six other similar subjects that were signed and dated byour painter; he produced them between 1747 and 1777.
