Elegant bas-relief in carved, gilded and polychromed wood, depicting a religious presentation scene – probably the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple. It depicts the Virgin and Child bowing before a haloed priest, accompanied by secondary figures in an architectural setting with draperies.The carved wooden frame, richly decorated with foliate scrolls in a rocaille style, is original. Beautiful period patina, with cracks and natural wear of the polychromy, which testify to the authenticity of the work.Typical work of Baroque religious art from South Germany or North Italy in the 18th century.
