He studied at the Munich Academy from 1896 to 1897 under Paul Höcker and worked in Munich. He was renowned for his Biedermeier interiors and still lifes with their soft tones and warm atmosphere. His works include: "After the Café Battle" (1907), "Birthday Visit" (1908), "Rarities" (1909), "Two Friends" (1910), among others. Since 1906, he has exhibited regularly at the Munich Glass Palace and is represented at the Great Art Exhibitions in Berlin.
