"English Oak Chest From The 17th Century "
Superb and rare chest on feet from the 17th century in oak. This chest rests on a turned baluster base connected to its base by crosspieces. Rectangular in shape, the chest is enclosed in a molded surround. The front is composed of crosspieces and uprights as well as 3 finely carved panels of geometric shapes, diamonds and flowers. The darker sides remain decorated on the uprights and crosspieces. The whole is topped with a lid composed of molded panels and crosspieces and opening with a keyhole on the front. Original and quality English work with its original carved decorations.
