Maquignon Iron Hairpin In Its Case
A unique traditional tool known as a “forcette” or “force de Maquignon,” complete with its leather sheath. This antique folk art tool was once used to shear or brand animals, particularly sheep, at fairs. Its distinctive feature lies in its construction: it is often forged from a single piece of metal that forms a loop or ring at the back. It consists of three parts, with the central one acting as a natural spring; the entire set is stored in its original leather and brass case. A traditional folk craft item in very good condition.
