Solid oak statue representing Jesus as Savior of the World. Moving representation of the Child Jesus, holding in his left hand a globe surmounted by a cross, symbol of the Salvator Mundi. His right hand folded forward. The child is naked, his nudity underlines his humanity. Popular work of the 17th century 63cm high Traces of restoration at the junction of the arms with the body. The Cross is more modern. Otherwise good condition for this unusual statue.
