In the shadow of his Montmartre studio on rue d'Orcel in Paris, Léo Tissandié imagines Art Deco dresses, refined suits, and avant-garde jumpsuits that he puts down on paper with a few quick strokes of the pencil, before entrusting them to the most prestigious Parisian haute couture houses. Working for Chanel, Jean Patou, Lucien Lelong, Maggy Rouff, Jeanne Lanvin, Doucet, Molyneux, Madeleine Vionnet, and Marcel Rochas, he is one of those designers who, from the Roaring Twenties onward, shaped French elegance.
