On a large, thick walnut backsplash, with a carved console, 110cm x 41cm (8kg), a copper fountain with hemmed edges, composed of 3 pieces: a baluster body entirely decorated on front with a very impressive dragon, below, a pivoting bronze tap, and its cover, embossed and with bronze fretel. Below, a large basin on a stand, decorated with an even more formidable dragon.
A popular masterpiece of copperware. Origin: Cévennes Gardoises.
Condition: discovery, summarily polished, wear, dents, small tin welds, small cracks.
I am not sure that it can be put into water as it is: but: superb as a decoration.
Dimensions: H: 110cm x 41cm, total weight: 14kg!.
