Robert William Jivanovitch, known by the pseudonym “JIVA”, was a French painter born in 1907 and died in 1974. He is particularly renowned for his works depicting landscapes and scenes typical of the Basque Country and the Landes and still life. JIVA had a real talent for capturing light and textures, and these bouquets exude a beautiful intensity. The bright colors of the flowers contrast nicely with the darker backgrounds, giving them a strong presence. These paintings go very well together with their matching frames and their elongated format. Size 93 x 37.5 cm with frame without frame the 2 are 80 x 25 cm signed lower left and countersigned on the back
