Antique chair in turned beech wood and straw by Charles Dudouyt, Brutalist style, Circa 1940. Contrary to what its appearance might suggest, this is indeed a normal-sized chair with a standard adult seat height (43cm), a much rarer version than those with low seats (between 28cm and 35cm). Very well made, it is robust and has a very beautiful patina to the wood and some traces of use on the straw, without gravity (see photo).
