Sumptuous helmet sauce boat and its frame from the Louis XVI period by the Parisian master goldsmith Claude-Nicolas Delaunoy. Sauce boat and frame bear the charge and discharge mark of the Paris guild for the year 1789. Both are delicately engraved with laurel garlands and rosettes framed by matte backgrounds. The whole weighs 805 grams.
