French school, early 18th century, follower of Alexandre-François DESPORTES. Dogs guarding the product of the hunt. Oil on canvas 95 x 70 cm. Old restorations. 18th century gilded carved wooden frame. François Desportes (baptized in 1661 in Champigneulle and died in Paris in 1743). French painter, specialized in animal painting, mainly representing dogs in still life compositions and hunting scenes.
