Lamp body and base in red lacquer with Chinese-style decorations in the Martin varnish style, adorned with gilded chiseled bronze details featuring acanthus leaves, scrollwork, and foliage.
At the base, foliage is depicted within a stylized, perforated rock formation.
The entire piece—the lamp body and base—is covered in red lacquer with Chinese landscape and figure motifs rendered in old gold and brown polychrome.
Rich decorations of foliage, interlacing patterns, small flowers, and stylized mask heads.
The sides feature windows closed with glass panels.
The movement has a modified suspension, consisting of an enameled dial with Roman numerals, and bears the signature “Gosselin Paris” on the rear plate.
The gilded bronze dial features a central chased design of leaves and floral bouquets, surrounded by twelve enameled cartouches for the hours.
Original, serviced movement signed “GOSSELIN” in PARIS. Suspended by a thread.
