Pair Of Empire Mahogany Bergeres, Circa 1810.
Two shepherdesses forming a pair, (some differences in the backrest) from the Empire period around 1810-1815, the backrests are topped with a scrolling capital carved with palmettes and foliage. The base is characteristic of the 1810s, sabre-shaped rear legs and baluster front legs. The bases of the armrest consoles are carved with stylized foliage. H x W x D = 94 x 60 x 50 H under seat 40cm These shepherdesses have been reupholstered with a velvet (stain-resistant by the way) by Casal. Very good condition.
