Magnificent pair of Empire style armchairs with swans in solid mahogany and veneer. The armrests are carved in solid mahogany with swans and the curved backrest receives an inlay of brass and blackened wood with swans as well. The upholstered seat is in very good condition, the fabric is bronze green velvet. Some re-gluing in the brass threads. Very decorative armchairs. These seats are part of an antechamber furniture with 6 lyre chairs and 1 pedestal table that we sell separately (see last photo and our gallery). Period very late 19th century around 1895-1900.
