A large Chinese porcelain soup plate for export, 18th century, with slight contours, gold chain and ring border, holding garlands of flowers, on centre decorated, gilded polychrome of a central mavelot in leafy letters: PJB under baron's tortil surmounted by a rather graphic two-headed goose… The upper banner: Dominus Providebit: God will provide.
I have the impression that this central motif is not very widespread.
Charming colors and fineness, pretty border: A beautiful plate!
Size: diameter 23cm x 4.5cm. Condition: Superb, no breakage, no cracks or scratches, only one "rim chip" on  back of plate, (photo)
