Beautiful box decorated with Martin varnish on all sides.
Shell decoration surrounded by garlands of flowers and colored foliage on a gold background on the top of the lid and the bottom of the box.
The rim is entirely decorated with a garland of flowers and foliage on a gold background.
Black lacquered interior.
Small losses on the edge of the Martin varnish, decoration on the top less bright than the bottom, small loss to the wood on the inner edge (not visible when the box is closed). Cracks in the varnish inherent to the material and its age.
Good condition, 18th century period around 1770.
