Louis Dumoulin. Oil on panel "In the English Camp" signed lower right, Louis Dumoulin, located in Rouen and dated 1915. French school. 33 X 24 cm. Louis-Jules Dumoulin (1860-1924) was a student of Henri Gervex (1852-1929). He made his debut at the Salon in 1879. The Museums of Bourges, Paris (Louvre) and Troyes hold works by this artist. (Sources Bénézit dictionary of painters and sculptors). Dumoulin traveled a lot, particularly in the Far East, the Orient, Europe and South America. The Guimet Museum holds two of his Japanese works. Stuccoed and gilded wooden frame (minor accident). Good condition.
