Louis Alexandre Bouché (1838-1911) was a student of Louis-Jean-Marie Rémy (1792-1869) and Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot (1796-1875). He traveled to Italy and exhibited at the Salon, from 1864, animated landscapes of the banks of the Marne drowned in mist. The Museums of Nantes, Limoges, Lyon, Bourg-Saint-Maurice, Rennes and Douai hold some of his works. Sources: Schur dictionary of the Little Masters of Painting. Modern lacquered wooden frame.
