Bronze cat with a golden patina signed on the terrace, white onyx base after the bronze, the cat's attitude on the defensive to protect its bowl Claude Edouard Forgeot 1826-1888 worked for Viollet-le-Duc and for the ceramic factory in Sèvres, notably on a centerpiece with Rodin. A statue of Marianne wearing a large Phrygian cap in Sèvres biscuit from 1879 is presented in the windows of the National Assembly. Dressed in a chainmail covered with a lion's skin, she holds a beehive (symbol of work) and a sword.
