Beautiful antelope Born in the Siberian town of Nazkmoï, near Enisseyske. It was there that he began to make his first sculptures. After the Russian Revolution, he settled in Moscow from 1922. In 1927, he came to France where he continued his artistic work. There he made numerous animal sculptures in the Art Deco style, reproduced in bronze and ceramic. He returned to Russia in 1935. There, he became the official sculptor of the Soviet regime and made busts and monuments. He died on August 29, 1991 at the age of 96.
