"golden Pheasant" By Karl Tutter
A beautifully crafted porcelain Golden Pheasant (Asiatic) with rich orange, brown and yellow colours is a creation of the Hutschenreuther-Selb porcelain factory. The authentic Hutschenreuther-Selb stamp is on the reverse. It has a wavy line from its head to the tips of its tail feathers. The glaze is a rich combination of orange, brown, green and yellow. A much paler version of the gold of the feathers touches the face and the tree branch on which it sits. The incised detail on this bird, particularly around the face and feathers, is exquisite and is a true hallmark of Hutschenreuther-Selb productions. Signed and stamped on the underside height 22 cm width 35.5 cm
