Taoist monk's staff China. Plum or peach wood with typical fruitwood outgrowths, lacquered with ideograms, carved with a monk wearing the classic Taoist robe, seated with the audience scroll in his hand, just below there is another carved monk standing with his hand perhaps a fly swatter, below there is another monk standing, probably referring to the three pure ones of Taoism. Very rare to find 19th/20th century
