Lady's Necessary, 18th Century.

This charming little kit for Ladies is made of enamelled metal. It is decorated, inside with white reserves, bordered by curves and counter-curves on a midnight blue background, with bouquets of flowers painted in their natural state. In addition, this midnight blue background is dotted with small flowers, here and there. A push button allows you to open the lid to access the small utensils in gilded steel, among these we find a pair of small scissors, a hook, a needle (broken), a file and a case (which we were unable to open). In good general condition, the gilding of these small tools is a little altered and a small lack of enamel is to be noted under the object. Height 9.5 cm.
