Bust of Madame Du BARRY in bronze with brown patina, after Augustin PAJOU. Base on pedestal in brown and green truité Campan marble. Madame Du Barry, born Marie-Jeanne Bécu (1743-1793), favorite of Louis XV, for whom the sovereign had the castle of Louveciennes built. Augustin PAJOU (1730 - 1809) Prix de Rome 1748, approved at the Royal Academy in Paris in 1759.
