Ankhuset Tabar, India 19th Century
The ankhus, pick and hook, used by the mahout to direct the elephant, the tabar, blade decorated with the inlay technique on the metal, embedded in an ornate bronze element, are associated in this Indian ceremonial weapon . The wooden handle is also decorated with polychromy. Northern India, late 19th century.
