Han-style Ceramic Dog, China

Chinese funerary ceramic (mingqi) with a glossy green glaze.

It depicts a stylized dog with erect ears, short legs, head slightly raised a harness of neck and body
The green lead glaze is typical of Chinese pottery of the Han dynasty (206 BCE - 220 CE) and later periods.
Similar animal figures, particularly dogs, were placed in tombs as protective or symbolic companions.
The partial glazing (green body, bare legs) is also consistent with early Chinese kiln techniques.
Han dynasty or perhaps later revival (Tang style or reproduction)
