Kartrika, Tibet, 19/20th
Kartrika used during Tibetan tantric ceremonies. Symbolically it allows us to cut the ties that bind us to go on the path to liberation. The blade is made of iron held by two opposing griffins, the central part, for grasping the Kartrikal, is formed by a gilded bronze dorje. A half dorje with five branches at the upper end.
