"Large Asian Panel In Lacquered Wood, China – Late 19th Century"
Large rectangular panel in gold, burgundy and black lacquered wood. Its numerous Asian decorations represent characters in traditional outfits, fighting, or bustling about in the activities of daily life, in the heart of wooded gardens. These scenes are partitioned by openwork friezes, vases of flowers in cartouches, and wands with gilded edges. The background of the whole, emerald green, highlights the details. The large black frame of this panel is molded. This work comes from Ningbo, a Chinese port city, connected to Shanghai by the longest sea bridge in the world. We will choose this very decorative panel for its authenticity, but also for the multitude and accuracy of its details. ******** Period: Late 19th century Very good condition after restoration in our workshop Many additional photos available by clicking on the following link: https://www.antiquites-lecomte.com/boutique/elements-de-decoration /large-asian-wooden-lacquer-panel-late-19th century Delivery possible in France and internationally Dimensions: Width: 211 cm Height: 106 cm Depth: 6.5 cm Ref: 181 T
