Large statue Hampatong Borneo Indonesia. These statues which stood in the villages often had a protective purpose, here it is obviously for the purpose of celebrating fertility and male power. She has 2 stylized birds on her head, remains of white kaolin, traces of ceremonial dripping, a beautiful old patina, must date from the beginning of the 20th century, it comes from the old collection Nina Wolmark author, screenwriter and French dialogue writer, collected on site by herself and her husband in the 1980s.
