This rare miniature service in soft porcelain bears the DV mark of Mennecy-Duché de Villeroy on the reverse. It consists of a tray, a teapot which is missing the lid and whose handle and spout have been damaged, two cups and their saucers, a milk jug and a sugar bowl. . The high-quality polychrome decoration is made up of various fruits, pomegranate, currants, pears, apples, plums, peaches and rose hips. A blue border highlights the edges of the different objects. Each piece bears the DV mark on the reverse. This doll service produced by a large 18th century porcelain factory is exceptional, it is a rare testimony to the past which was undoubtedly offered to a little girl to play dinner with her dolls.
