Coral And Vermeil Bracelet, 19th Century.
This vermeil and coral bracelet features a large ratchet clasp; at its center is a medallion adorned with a female figure, and five rows of coral beads wrap around the wrist; it also includes a thin safety chain. It is in good overall condition; however, the slightly darker coral beads had to be replaced. Each element of the bracelet is stamped with a boar’s head, which was the hallmark used beginning in 1838; a diamond-shaped maker’s mark appears on the clasp, but we were unable to identify it.
