Amusing 18th Century Fan
Amusing and rare fan from the Louis XVI / Directory period with printed decoration of a song entitled "Les quatre species" (sic...). The four verses are dedicated to men, women, boys and girls. Needless to say, the lyrics are quite tasty! . The condition is not perfect and I think could be improved. The wooden frame is in perfect condition. These “ephemeral” fans, undoubtedly offered on the occasion of a concert, a ball or an evening, have become rare. Length: 28.5cm. It is presented in a certainly not original box.
