Very beautiful brass cosmetic box chiseled on all sides with mandorlas inscribed with epigraphic decorations.
Large solid bronze handle and closure.
The whole set on four small ball feet.
The interior is made up of five compartments used to hold makeup.
These receptacles are placed on a plate not attached to the box, as well as the five parts for easy and practical cleaning.
The gouge carving is fine, precise and delicate.
On the top there are four bouquets engraved in relief.
Originally from Rajasthan, India, this very pretty box set almost takes the form of a book and can be confused with a public writer's box set.
Piece in very good state of conservation around 1880 -1900
