Laughing Boy, After Desiderio Da Settignano (c. 1430-1464), Brussels Artistic Foundry
Bronze sculpture representing a laughing boy. The original was made in marble in 1460/64 by the Renaissance sculptor Desiderio da Settignano (c. 1430-1464), a student of the famous Donatello, a precursor of Renaissance sculpture. This work has been attributed to Donatello, hence the signature.
