Ivory Coast, Gouro People, Early 20th Century, Weaving Loom Pulley Stirrup.
Very pretty loom pulley stirrup from the Gouro people of Ivory Coast dating from the beginning of the 20th century. Made of wood with a brown patina, it is equipped with its spool and decorated with geometric patterns. This stirrup was intended to hang the ropes of the horizontal type loom at the level of the pulley. The traces of wear on the carrying holes attest to the use and its age. Good condition except for slight wear without impact.
Height 6.5 cm (12.2 cm with its base highlighting it). Width 6.4 cm. The scale indicator in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a brand known to everyone.
