China, Early 19th Century, Carved Wooden Statue Of Chao Kung Ming.
China, Qing Dynasty, early 19th century, a very beautiful, finely carved statue depicting Chao Kung Ming, the Taoist god of fortune in his military form, seated on his tiger, with a flame rising in front of him at the front of the base. A votive box, still sealed, is attached to the back of the statue (rare).
Wood, with traces of the original lacquer.
Dimensions: Height: 22 (cm).
The scale reference in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a well-known brand.
Good condition aside from some slight wear and a few minor chips; nothing unusual given its age.
