"Meissen Minuscula: Porcelain Miniature Animal : Hunting Dog, 19th Century"
Very small Saxon porcelain figurine, representing a pretty listening spaniel, sitting on a mound, with a submissive look. Well signed with the two swords of Meissen, 18 or 19th century, hollow marks, it is a beautiful animal porcelain, quite rare to find.This tiny animal measuring 4cm x 3.5cm x 2cm is painted with precision, the attitude and “face” of dog are very well rendered, painted from green, brown and gold on a white background.
Good condition, no breakage or cracks, one ear a little bitten though, see arrow in our photos.
