Console Transforming Into A Louis XV Style Games Table - 19th Century - France
Pretty console which unfolds to form a games table dating from the 19th century. This pretty piece of furniture is in the Louis XV style, it has 4 curved legs. It is entirely made of marquetry. These feet are covered with scraps of brass with plant motifs and open at their ends with sabots. The legs are unfolded to enlarge the base. Then the tray opens to increase its surface area. The interior of the tray is covered with green velvet.
