Important Portrait Of Pope Leo XIII XIXth

Important full-length portrait representing Pope *Leon XIII seated on his throne with his feet resting on a red cushion with gold embroidery. Leo XIII, wearing a white skullcap and an ivory white cassock, wears a golden cross around his neck. In his right hand he holds a quill for writing on a sheet of paper placed on an altar decorated with a cloth. red with gold embroidery on which we find an inkwell and a table bell. Original frame and canvas (small old restoration) This important portrait is presented in its original walnut frame carved with papal attributes (pontifical tiara and keys of St Peter) which retains its gilding with period gold leaf in perfect condition.
