Clock from the Restoration period in gilded bronze representing the Duchess of Berry breastfeeding the Duke of Bordeaux, with her daughter Louise praying in front of the bassinet.The enameled dial is inscribed in an architectural pediment decorated with draperies held by a lion's head and swans.
The uprights are topped by caryatids with egyptian heads.
Wire movement in working order.
Very good quality of carving and gilding, double matt and shiny patina.
1 foot at the back slightly oxidized.
Restoration period (early 19th century).
This clock is made according to the design of the bronzier Jean-André Reiche (1752-1817), author of numerous successful clock models under the Empire and the Restoration.
