The landscape probably represents the surroundings of Chateau-Fromage. Gaston Cantin, after studying at the Beaux-Arts in Poitiers, became a drawing teacher and taught first in Limoges then in Antibes. He retired in Bignoux. The work is not signed, it comes from a lot from the Poitiers auction room: 5 canvases without stretcher. Our work has been stretched on a new stretcher.
