Suite of eight engravings after the painter Riou, six of them are engraved by Eugène Cicéri, two others by Jules Didier. Edouard Riou is a French painter and illustrator, he was born on December 2, 1833 in Saint Servan (Ille et Vilaine) and died on January 26, 1900 in Paris. Eugène Ciceri is a French painter, illustrator and engraver, he was born on January 27, 1813 in Paris and died on April 21, 1890 in Bourron-Marlotte. Jules Didier is a French painter and lithographer. He was born on May 26, 1831 in Paris where he died on April 23, 1914. We sell them in pairs. This pair corresponds to numbers XIII “The maritime canal at the Serapeum (Egypt)” and VI “Timsah, View of the Viceroy's chalet (Egypt)”. Both are by Eugène Cicéri. Good general condition but some freckles should be noted. Frame dimensions 42.5 cm x 52.5 cm.
