Late 18th century, early 19th century France Lyon, Remarkable lampas by Philippe de Lassalle or his school, whose technique is worthy of the Grande Fabrique Lyonnaise. Large pastotal medallions laden with natural flowers, trimmings tassels and trimmed ribbons. The bucolic scenes are laden with musical instruments, bird's nests and straw huts! Skilful weaving with a brocaded Gros de Tours cream background, edging and berclé in a wide variety of pastel colours. Cream cotton chintz lining and period trimmings fringes. Five complete widths in 53 cm wide. No flaw. Very good state of freshness and conservation. Dimensions: 250 cm long by 86 cm high.
