"crossbow" Chest Of Drawers, Walnut, Provence 18th Century.
Provençal chest of drawers called "crossbow" in solid walnut and from the mid-18th century. It opens with three large curved drawers with 3 carved reserves. Locks, original key and posterior gilt bronze fittings. Scalloped bottom and side rails. Sides with a "chapel" panel. Original top with 'bec de corbin' edges. It rests on arched front feet and 'heeled' rear feet. Beautiful Provençal work in very good original condition.
