Bronze Bracelet, Cross River, Nigeria - 16th/17th Century
This long bronze winding, forming a bracelet, was formerly used as a form of exchange or dowry.
It has a remarkable burial patina in green and ocher hues amalgamated with rare fragments of a textile with which it would have been protected.
