A perfect design and soft, subtle and skilfully orchestrated colors that give this work by the Austrian artist Tony Binder a charm and the atmosphere of tenderness of a bygone era. The work in good condition is offered in a pretty 19th century channel frame which measures 79 cm by 57 cm, 61 cm by 35.5 cm for the canvas alone. It represents a young gypsy who seems dreamy, pensive or nostalgic, leaning against a wall with a basket of flowers in her hand. The work is signed and dated 1912 lower right. On the back, a small old restoration totally invisible on the paint side.
