The energy of the touch, the colors and the force are once again present in this work of the most expressionist of Provençal artists Antoine Ferrari. The work is offered in a pretty old frame with a light degilded patina which measures 67 cm by 56 cm and 46 cm by 38 cm without the frame. It represents a bouquet of tulips placed on a table and a blue vase, on the back an unfinished sketch. It is signed lower right. A great artist to rediscover. Ferrari was launched in 1927 by Van Dongen who, admiring his talent, had him admitted to the Salon d'Automne of the same year. From 1930, his hometown (Marseille) subsidized his artistic studies in Paris. In 1937, he won the Abd-el-Tif prize, a scholarship that allowed him to spend two years in Algiers...
