Type 1885 called Campagnard, Third Republic. Inspired by Second Empire helmets, entirely in brass, shortened crest. Bomb decorated with a front plate representing a shield stamped with a flaming grenade, surrounded by two palm leaves with ribbon bearing the inscription "Srs POMPIERS de Valladin". Front and rear headband at the base of the bomb stamped in relief with oak branches, brass chin straps each consisting of a round rosette stamped with gadroons in relief, chin strap stamped in relief with a series of scalloped scales, mounted on leather. Good general condition, with traces of use.
