Naval officer's saber, model 1853, Third Republic. Slightly curved blade with a flat back, marked Coulaux et Cie Klingenthal. Chiseled gilt bronze mount with rope, plant, and naval anchor motifs, long cap decorated with shells. Iron scabbard covered in black leather, and brass fittings. Chape decorated with a naval anchor.
